Gilbert E. Heath, age 92, of Braintree, died peacefully, Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the John Scott House.

Gilbert was born in Newton, to the late Corey and Lina (Irving) Heath. Raised in Abington, he was a graduate of Abington High School, Class of 1952, where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Tufts University.

He lived in Braintree for the past several years, previously in Quincy, Milton, Caribou, Maine, and Dorchester.

Gilbert was employed as a food service manager and had been retired for many years.

Gilbert had an interest in history as well as genealogy, and also enjoyed sailing and bowling. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

Devoted father of Karen L. Heath of Maine, Marie Murphy and her husband Chuck of Pennsylvania, Adam Heath and his wife Mary of Ireland, Miles Heath of New Jersey, and predeceased by Corey Heath and Lyle Heath.

Loving grandfather of ten and great grandfather of four.

Dear brother of Lina Frakaloss, Sylvia Kendrigan, Tavie Zeidler, and the late Becky Heath.

He was predeceased by his companion, Marcia Ramsay, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He also leaves behind a devoted and loving extended family of friends.

At the request of the family, funeral services are private.
