Glenda D. Taylor, lovingly known as "Kitty," was born on March 26, 1962, in Ripley, Tennessee, to the late Earl and Nezzie Taylor. A proud graduate of Hammond High School's Class of 1980, Glenda carried through life the strength, confidence, and spirit that defined her early years.
Those who knew Glenda knew her well. Her bold personality, sharp tongue, and quick wit were unmatched. She had a remarkable ability to fill any room with laughter, truth, and warmth. Her keen sense of humor and her gift for cooking created countless memories, touching the hearts and lives of all blessed to be in her presence.
On December 8, 2025, the heavens opened and welcomed her into eternal peace.
Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Earl and Nezzie Taylor; her sister, Ruth Taylor; and her brothers, Larry Taylor and Earl Taylor.
She leaves to cherish her unforgettable memory her four sons: Jermaine (Tamala) Boyette, Styles Taylor, Montrell Taylor, and Jere Taylor. She is also survived by her sisters Donna (Leonard) Walker, Michelle (Alexander) Woods, Janda Taylor, and Betty Jarret; her brothers Darren (Loretta) Taylor and Marlon (Penny) Taylor; and a very special aunt, Hattie Richardson. Glenda's life was additionally enriched by the love of her dear friends Cynthia White, Lillian Brooks, and Emerson Thomas Jr.
Glenda also leaves to cherish her memories 12 beautiful grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who will forever carry her light in their hearts.
Glenda "Kitty" Taylor leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, laughter, and unforgettable flavor both in spirit and in the dishes she poured her heart into. Her memory will remain a cherished blessing to all who knew and loved her.
