Glenn Mooney

Glenn Matthew Mooney, 73, passed away peacefully at his home in North Smithfield, Rhode Island, on November 29, 2025. A devoted husband, father, and brother, Glenn lived a life marked by dedication to his family, and an enduring passion for learning.

Born on October 20, 1952, in Providence, Rhode Island, Glenn grew up with a strong sense of purpose and commitment that guided him throughout his life.

From 1970 to 1976, Glenn proudly served in the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard. His years in uniform were a testament to his sense of duty and patriotism.

Later in life Glenn pursued higher learning at the New England Institute of Technology, where he earned an associate degree in Computer Information. His academic pursuits reflected his lifelong curiosity and drive to stay engaged with the evolving world around him. Throughout his life, Glenn remained a passionate lifetime learner. Whether through formal education or personal exploration, he continually sought knowledge and understanding—a quality that inspired those around him.

Glenn was known as a hardworking man who loved his family deeply. He shared a devoted marriage with Anne Frances Mooney and took great pride in their life together. He was a loving father to Christopher James Mooney and Rebecca Frances Mooney and welcomed Amanda Mooney into the family as a cherished daughter-in-law. Glenn also predeceased his brothers Neil and Scott Mooney.
