Pastor Glenn Edward Tillis, a devoted servant of God, loving husband, father, and community leader, passed away on February 25, 2026, in Santa Rosa, California. He was 76 years old.

Born on July 13, 1949, in Fresno, California, Pastor Tillis was the son of Osceola Young and Ellis Tillis. He grew up in Fresno, where he attended Lincoln Elementary, Columbia Elementary, Irwin Junior High, and Edison High School. He furthered his education at Moler Barber College and later pursued theological studies at C.H. Mason Theological Seminary College.

Pastor Tillis dedicated his professional life to providing for his family and serving his community. From 1975 to 2011, he worked as a Resident Service Technician for U.S. Filter Water Filtration in Santa Clara and Sonoma Counties. However, his true calling was ministry and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In 1971, Pastor Tillis first accepted Christ and began attending The Church of the Living God. In 1976, he received the Holy Ghost and embarked on a lifelong journey of faith and service. His dedication to ministry led him to serve in various roles over the years: from Deacon to Minister, Sunday School Superintendent to Elder. He attended seminary college to deepen his understanding of theology and strengthen his ability to lead others spiritually.

In 1988, Pastor Tillis founded The Revelation of Jesus Christ Ministries COGIC. Over the years, he served as pastor or assistant pastor at several churches, including Divine Deliverance COGIC, Eastside COGIC, Teague Temple COGIC, and Fulton Pentecostal Community COGIC. Since 2016 until his passing, he faithfully pastored Fulton Pentecostal Community COGIC.

Pastor Tillis's ministry extended far beyond the walls of any church. For over five decades, he ministered tirelessly alongside his wife and family at missions, shelters, hospitals, jails, and other institutions. He officiated countless baptisms, weddings, homegoing celebrations, and Christian events. His passion for community outreach was evident through his work with ministries such as Christian Dynasty Ministries, City Team Ministries, Invision Ministries, Bay Area Rescue Mission, Redwood Gospel Mission, and Community Outreach. He also managed mission food banks and facilitated Bible study groups at local jails.

A man of many talents and interests, Pastor Tillis co-owned and operated Dad and Son's Gourmet Barbecue (est. 1999) while continuing to serve as a spiritual mentor and leader in his community. His voice reached even further through his ministry on local radio station 1190 AM The Light from 1998 to 2003.
