Gloria Jean Harris (Wheatley), age 68, of Joshua, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026. She was born on November 17, 1957, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Clarence Wheatley and Torine Wheatley, both of whom preceded her in death.

For over 40 years, Gloria proudly stood beside her husband as a police and first responder’s wife. She understood the sacrifices that came with a life of service and supported Kurt throughout his career with unwavering strength and pride. That same pride carried over to her daughter, Casandra, who followed in her father’s footsteps in a life of public service.
Gloria spent much of her life as a dedicated homemaker, always placing her family at the center of everything she did.
She loved cooking for her family, traveling, reading, and finding little treasures online. She also enjoyed participating in community service efforts for various organizations throughout the Fort Worth area. Above all else, Gloria treasured time spent with her family and loved ones. She was also especially fond of her beloved cat, Laya, who brought her great comfort and companionship.
Gloria is survived by her beloved daughter, Casandra Jean Harris of Mansfield, Texas, along with extended family members and many friends who will remember her kindness, devotion, and the love she gave so freely.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
