Gloria E Mann Mills

Gloria E. Mann Mills passed away peacefully at Independence Village of Oxford, MI on February 23, 2026 at the age of 95. She was the cherished mother of Gail Pottinger (Bill) and Susan Beasley (Steve); and the loving grandmother of Christopher (Basia), Elizabeth (Oliver), Ryan and Steven. She was also the great-grandmother of Wyatt, Steele and Jackson.
She was the third of four children born to the late Ruth and Arthur Mann. She was preceded in death by her siblings Louise (the late William), Elliot (the late Jane) and is survived by her brother Richard (the late Sally).
Gloria was a talented artist excelling in drawing, painting, jewelry creation and sculpture. She loved to knit, gifting many of her pieces to those she cared for. She enjoyed traveling and exploring other cultures. She worked in the medical field, for the University of Michigan and the Michigan Council for the Arts.
She played violin and the banjo and was a member of the West Bloomfield Banjo Club. She loved to laugh and found beauty in nature especially the green hues of trees and the reflection of light on the water which she lovingly referred to as "diamonds".
Gloria has left a huge hole in our hearts but the memories we hold dear and the love that she shared will sustain us in the years to come.
