Mark had many accomplishments and successes throughout his life but wasn't the kind of man who was concerned about being recognized or awarded.
He was the kind of man who:
watched the Sound of Music on Christmas Eve for 42 years in a row and gamely travelled to Austria to visit the church where Maria and Gaylord were married; had unfailing hope that the Maple Leafs would make it past the first round of the playoffs; gave his mother-in-law his car (forever) when hers broke down; gifted jeeps and skis and far flung adventures; took great pleasure in being a wing-man in mischief and mayhem; was passionate about his work at Brookfield Properties but felt even more strongly about the people he worked with; loved sitting lake-side on a dock with a beer of questionable quality surrounded by his mom, dad, sister, brother, friends, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; happily suffered endless drubbings in golf paired with his long-time best friend; cherished backyard parties with Rivertown area friends and their families; methodically planned his early-bird ski mornings to finish perfectly synced for nachos and beer with his boys' lunch hour; loved his mom and thought about her every day; relished napping to sports on tv with a blazing fire while boys and dogs and wife chattered excitedly about inconsequential things; lived and breathed for his "knuckleheads", his boys, his pride and joy.
Mark is survived by his wife, Terry Myers, their boys Jackson, Carter, and Declan Myers-Brown; his mom and dad, Ron and Carolyn Brown; his sister Lynda Neumann (Glen); his brother Andy (Tricia); nieces and nephews Sam, Casey, Max, Ben, Will, Meg, Jack, Robbie, Haylee, and Keon; in-laws Don, Wendy, Jan, and Jeff; and by dearest of friends Dan, Vicki, Abby, and Zoe LePage.
Mark's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Andrew Cornish of Memorial Sloan Kettering, the Cardiac and Palliative Care units at White Plains Hospital, Aisling McGowan RN, and the Center for Comfort Care & Healing in Danbury, CT.
