Granville William Slusher, 75, of Interlochen, formerly of Commerce Township, Michigan passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025. Granville was born August 1, 1950, in Royal Oak, Michigan and graduated from Henry Ford High School in 1968. He worked through college and earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Education from Eastern Michigan University in 1972. Granville worked his way up in an automation controls company and served as President/CEO of the company for over 20 years.
Granville was a devoted husband to his wife Deborah, and together they enjoyed over 54+ years of a happy and blessed marriage. Gran was a kind and generous person, often sacrificing himself for the good of those around him. He was passionate about his family, hunting, cowboy action shooting and was a lifetime Detroit Tigers fan. In his later years, Gran enjoyed living in the beautiful and peaceful calm of northern Michigan.
Preceding him in death were his parents Nettie (Superson) and Granville Franklin Slusher of Farmington, Michigan and his brother Thomas Slusher. Surviving Gran is his wife Deborah Slusher, and his children William (Amber) Slusher of Westland, Michigan and Susanne (Adam) Biteman of Interlochen, Michigan; grandchildren, Jason and Justin Slusher and Steven and Henry Biteman; brother Jeff (Carol) Slusher of Commerce, Michigan; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be announced at a future date and held when friends and family can assemble. Those who wish to make a memorial contribution are asked to make a donation in his name to the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) Scholarship Foundation, P.O. Box 960, Akron, IN 46910.
