Gregory (aka Greg) J. Honold Sr. died November 18, 2025, due to end-stage liver failure. He was under the care of Atrium Hospice at Alternative Home Care in Las Vegas, NV. He was born July 15,1961 in Yuma, AZ to the former Vivian Ensor and Francis (Frank) Honold. He was proceeded in death by both of his parents and siblings Barbara Hirak, Diane Walkowski, and Norma Lewis. He is survived by his brother-in-law Stan Walkowski; niece and nephew, Jennifer and Jeffrey Allred; and great niece and nephews Katie, Dylan, and Tyler Allred. After graduating High School, Greg joined the US Army and was trained as a Plumber. He was awarded Expert Marksman in use of the M-16 and First Class Qualified in use of Hand Grenades. He completed his military service at Fort Benning, GA. In July of 1984, he and Cynthia Gayle Reese became parents to their only child Gregory John Honold Jr, known affectionately to all as "GJ." Unfortunately, Greg's and Cynthia's relationship did not survive the test of time and certain legal issues, so that Greg lost track and contact of both Gregory Jr and his mother. Greg spent most of his working life in the service industry but especially enjoyed working at the Grand Canyon and the Everglades National Parks. In the early 2000's Greg reunited with his sister Norma and shared townhome living in Scottsdale, AZ where later he became her caretaker due to her medical conditions which she later succumbed to. Upon her death Greg moved to Las Vegas, NV where he lived until his demise. Greg was cremated shortly after death. His remains will be entered in the Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors. The specific date of the interment is unknown at this time.
