Guy Fashano, 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 16, 2025. Known to family and friends as "Big Guy," "Fish," and lovingly as "Pop," Guy lived life to the fullest and devoted himself to the people he loved. Family and friendship were at the center of everything he did. Guy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cathy, and his parents, Samuel and Lois Fashano. He is survived by his sons, Sam (Chantel) and Guy (Sarah); his stepdaughters, Sandy and Debbi; his brother, Raymond; his niece, Amy; and his cherished grandchildren, Anthony, Vincent, Enzo, Lucca, Stella, Rocco, and Caitlin. Raised in Jamestown, New York, Guy was a standout athlete in high school. He moved to California in 1964, where he became a devoted father and a savvy businessman. Always competitive, his passion later turned to golf, with one of the highlights of his life being a trip to Augusta, Georgia, to attend The Masters. He was a fixture at every grandchild's sporting and school event—always beaming with pride, often offering a suggestion or two on how to improve. Guy loved holiday traditions, the New York Yankees, Frank Sinatra, chili dogs, mayo on his sausages, and dunking biscotti into his Paisano wine. There was no one quite like Guy—he was truly one of a kind, and will never be forgotten.
