Guy Cromer Martin

Guy Cromer Martin, 77, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026. He was born on October 28, 1948, in Anderson, South Carolina, to the late Charles F. Martin Jr. and Sybil Martin.

Mr. Martin proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era as an Aviation Ordinance Man. During his service, he was stationed aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga, serving in the Mediterranean Sea from 1967 to 1971. Following his military service, Guy devoted his professional life to banking, where he built a respected career and eventually retired as President of Martin County Credit Union. After retirement in 2009, he relocated to Wewahitchka, where he enjoyed a quieter life surrounded by family.

He is survived by his 2 sons, Christopher Guy Martin of Tallahassee, Florida, and Chad Martin (Tonya) of Blountstown, Florida, 3 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles "Mike" Martin and Terry Martin.

Guy served our country with dignity and lived his life on his terms.

He will be remembered and missed most by those who loved him.

Memorialization will be by cremation with a celebration of life planned for a later date.
