Hannah Huse passed away on March 22, 2025 (age 83) at her home in Boulder, Colorado, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born in Panama, and grew up in Massachusetts and New Hampshire to parents Wesley and Emily Huse.

She attended the University of Colorado - Boulder, and studied Archaeology. Hannah had significant archaeological field experience, working in Tunisia, in the American Southwest, and as a leader for Archeology Associates. Her PhD thesis examined whether individual potters from pre-history could be identified by their characteristic pottery. Archaeology Associates took on site clearance for construction projects by examining locations for important cultural artifacts. She later worked at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History, where she met Marvin Benjamin Woolf. Hannah married Marvin in 1976 on her family's farm in New Hampshire.

Marvin Benjamin Woolf, who preceded her in death, and Hannah were endlessly curious, giving and kind people. Hannah maintained long relationships with friends and neighbors - a testament to her caring attention. She was always thinking of others first. Hannah shared and gave so much to her loved ones. Among many things, she shared her love of cooking and food, she would share in the delights of gardening, flowers and nature. She was an avid birder and loved dogs. She showed others how to slow down and appreciate the birds, and even a favorite event, the sheepdog trials in Meeker, Colorado. Her creativity shone through everything she touched, often with her beautiful handwriting and loving gestures that truly showed how she saw and listened to people.

Hannah lived a full life - often traveling, and seeking out new experiences. Marvin and Hannah took to a VW van, affectionately known as "Pelli" for many road trips. Hannah was a brilliant person, with a lifelong desire to learn. She had a spark to her that made everyone want to be with her, and always a warm greeting to whomever she saw. Those who knew her loved her dearly.

We acknowledge a life lived fully and with great compassion for others. She will be greatly missed by those whose many lives she touched. Hannah is survived by her stepsons, Tom Woolf and Ben Woolf, and their wives, Emiko Kasahara and Patty Cunningham-Woolf, as well as four step-grandchildren, Rachel Woolf, Joseph Woolf, Katherine Woolf, and Alexander Woolf.
