Harold Cohen, born on June 12, 1951 in Waterbury, CT, passed away at the age of 74 on December 21, 2025, in Orlando, FL. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Sylvia (Felder) Cohen. He is survived by his brother, Lawrence Cohen (Southington, CT); niece, Sarah A. Cohen (Plantsville, CT); great-niece, Samantha and cherished friends.
Harold graduated from Wilby High School in Waterbury, CT and American International College in Springfield, MA, he held a Masters in Social Work. He had a distinguished career, initially working at various Jewish Community Centers across the United States, including Waterbury, CT; Springfield, MA; Charleston, SC; Tampa, FL; Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Charlotte, NC; and Boca Raton, FL. He later transitioned to a successful career in real estate development, making significant contributions at Century Village, Westgate Resorts and Avatar Properties.
He was an avid golfer, his hobbies included tennis, cooking, wine and travel. In his retirement, he became active in his HOA.
A private burial was held on December 30, 2025. Plans for a celebration of life will be scheduled for a future date. In lieu of flowers or gifts, contributions can be made to your local Jewish Community Center in Harold's memory.
