Harold Lee Crew, born July 9, 1938, went to be with his heavenly Father on March 15, 2026. He died at his home in Stow, Ohio in the presence of his loving family. He was 87 years old.
One of ten children born to Harold A. and Lettie Crew, he is survived by his wife of 64 years, Andrea; two sisters, Mary Reed and Brenda (Buck) Downey; daughters, Pamela (Russell) Ramey and Lori (Tim) Hertrick; grandchildren, Laura (Tyler) Worosher, Elise (Shawn) Murtagh, David (Lauren) Ramey, Bethany (Thompson) Grant, Bradlee (Ruth) Hertrick, Brianna (Brendan) Inboden, Bailee Hertrick, and nine great-grandchildren.
Upon graduation from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA, he served as the Regional Administrator of the Ohio Adult Parole Authority. He was recognized by his colleagues for his dependability and fairness, earning great respect from all those he worked with, regardless of their position.
For many years Harold and Andrea attended Grace Baptist Church in Kent, OH, and then Maranatha Bible Church in Green, OH. They cherished many life-long friendships from these places of worship.
Harold had a quick wit and a keen sense of humor, but it was his kindness and generosity that drew people to him. He was an avid shopper and delighted in sharing his bargains with his large circle of friends and family.
He was a wonderful “Boppy” to his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were his delight. He and Andrea spent many summers at their camper, where they created wonderful memories with their children and grandchildren. As their daughters and grandchildren married, he welcomed their spouses into the family with open arms.
Harold was devoted to his wife, whose needs and comfort were among his highest priorities. In turn, with his memory increasingly declining over many years, Andrea devoted herself to caring for him in their home. There, he continued each evening, holding her hand as they prayed for each of their children and grandchildren by name.
Though Harold was blessed with a long life, his passing leaves a deep sense of loss in the hearts of his family, whom he loved so well. Though he is dearly missed, we look forward to the day we will meet with him again in the presence of our Lord Jesus.

A memorial service will be held for Harold at Faith Bible Fellowship, 126 W Overdale Dr. Tallmadge, OH on Thursday evening, April 9th, at 6pm. Pastor Jeremy Music will be officiating. Family and friends may call beginning at 4pm until the start of the service.
