It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harry Alan Spivak on December 31, 2025, at the age of 66. Harry was born on January 22, 1959, to Joseph "Jerry" Morton Spivak and Sally Ann Spivak (nee Gold). He spent his childhood in Philadelphia, graduated from Solebury School in New Hope, PA. He completed college at University of Colorado Boulder, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and after living in the San Francisco Bay Area for 8 years, returned to raise his daughter in Blue Bell, PA.

Harry was a devoted father to his daughter, Katie Spivak, and took enormous pride in her educational and career accomplishments.
He loved planning get togethers for his large, extended family. He remembered everyone's birthday.

Harry was a true child of the restaurant and concert industry and grew up alongside his father's launch of the H.A. Winston restaurants and founding of the Electric Factory. Always an entrepreneur, he went on to found several catering and catering consulting businesses and was a beloved member of the restaurant and event community in Philadelphia.

In a time before iPhones, Harry had an inexhaustible rolodex in his mind. He was a gifted networker and salesperson; it seemed there was not a person in the regional hospitality industry that Harry did not call a friend.

Harry loved feeding everyone, and was a powerful advocate for feeding the homeless, particularly during the COVID pandemic. He has touched many generations of family and friends through food, good humor, intelligence and entertainment.

Harry is survived by his daughter Katie, his siblings Jenny, Jon, Betsy and Joshua, and countless cousins, nieces and nephews.

To honor Harry's lifelong legacy of making deep connections and having fun with friends and loved ones, we hope you will join us for a Celebration of Harry's Life, to be held on January 25, 2026, at Underground Arts in Philadelphia starting at 1pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to Chosen 300 Ministries.
