Harvey Avellone passed away in his home in St. Louis on October 6th, 2025.
Harvey was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki, his son, Joseph, his father Salvatore, his mother Mary, his sisters Carmela and Barbara and his brothers Pierre and Tom. He is survived by his daughters Mary, Kathleen, Angela, and Gina, and his sons Michael, Greg and Gerard, his brother Richard and his sister Gandolfa, as well as 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Harvey was a graduate of South Side Catholic High School (now St. Mary's) in St. Louis. He attended St. Louis University for most of his undergraduate education, before moving to Helena Montana and graduating from Carroll College, Magna Cum Laude. While working as a Treasury Agent with the Internal Revenue Service, he finished his law school at the University of San Francisco and passed the California BAR. After serving as a full time law professor at Gonzaga University, he later returned to St. Louis where he spent the remainder of his career practicing law.
Harvey was a devout Catholic, attending daily Mass and praying the daily rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. He was especially devoted to spreading awareness of Divine Mercy Sunday and the Diary of St. Faustina.
