Heather Goss Goode, 54, passed away on January 21, 2026, in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born on August 4, 1971, in Florence, Alabama, and from the very beginning she brought warmth, kindness, and quiet grace into the lives of those around her. Heather was known for her generous spirit and for a heart that made people feel seen and cared for. Her presence carried compassion and steadiness, and she left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Heather shared 26 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Russell Goode. She was also a proud and loving mother to their son, John Ross Goode, who was a constant source of joy and pride in her life.

She was the beloved daughter of John Marshall Goss and Landra Faye Goss, and the cherished sister of Jonathan Goss. Family was at the center of Heather’s world, and she held each relationship close to her heart. Her legacy is one of love, generosity, and quiet strength, a life defined by the simple and profound act of caring deeply for others. May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Metcalfe Funeral Home, 245 N. 27th St, Lincoln, NE 68503 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Lincoln Humane Society (www.capitalhumanesociety.com).
