It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Heather Jo Moore, age 55, who was born on August 2, 1970, in Chetek, Wisconsin, and lived in Park Rapids, Minnesota. She passed away on January 6, 2026, surrounded by loving family and friends in Fargo, North Dakota.

Heather lived a full life and filled it with laughter, love, and competition. She was happiest with a bingo card in her hand, or a quick game of cards or board games with family and friends—especially if she was winning. She loved going to country music concerts, the dust and excitement of rodeos, and the freedom of riding ATVs—especially when it meant getting muddy on back trails or heading out for mud runs without hesitation.

Heather truly cherished family get-togethers, especially when she was the one planning them—a role she both excelled in and deeply enjoyed. From organizing each gathering to preparing the food, she poured her heart into every detail. An incredible cook, Heather's meals were always a highlight, and family and friends often asked for her recipes, knowing her food was made with love and had a special way of bringing everyone together.

She loved crafting and spent countless hours doing projects or baking with her grandkids. Heather also enjoyed going to garage sales and could never pass up a good bargain, always searching for the next great find.

Jeff Felt, her fiancé, was the love of Heather's life. His unwavering love, patience, and constant care meant more to her than words could express. Jeff was her source of comfort and reassurance, always by her side through life's joys and challenges. The kindness, understanding, and strength he shared with Heather brought her a deep sense of peace, and the love they shared gave her comfort, stability, and strength each day.

Above all, her greatest pride and joy were her children, Joshua and Jared, whom she loved beyond measure. Now an angel in heaven, she watches over them, her warmth, laughter, and love remaining with them always.

Heather absolutely adored her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and filled her heart with love. She treasured every moment spent with them, whether it was sharing laughter, making memories, or simply being together. Heather also held a very special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, always cherishing the time she spent with them. Being surrounded by family meant everything to her, and the bonds she shared with each of them were deeply meaningful and filled with love.

Heather will be remembered for her contagious laugh and warm smile, which made everyone around her feel lighter. Her gentle presence and loving heart brought comfort and drew people together.

Heather is survived by her fiancé, Jeff Felt; her parents, Robert and Julie Meteraud of Superior, Wisconsin; her sons, Joshua Howen of Superior, Wisconsin, and Jared Howen (Mercedes) of Superior, Wisconsin; her sisters, Shelly Sallee (Steve) of Cotton, Minnesota, and Jessica Koskela (Nolan) of Two Harbors, Minnesota; her grandmother, Donna Koskie of Barron, Wisconsin; her beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and a very special friend, Mary Lou Miller of Hernando, Florida, along with many other family members and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

A Celebration of Life for Heather will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at V.I.P., 1201 Tower Avenue, Superior, Wisconsin. Visitation will take place from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m., with refreshments to follow.

Though she is deeply missed, Heather's spirit lives on in every shared story, every game night, every country song turned up loud, every carefully planned gathering, every recipe lovingly passed on, and every muddy ride that ends in laughter.
