Helen Frances "Sis" Blantz (née Eberle), 87, of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, in Ephrata. Born on February 18, 1939, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Helen lived a full and vibrant life marked by her dedication to family, faith, and hard work.
Helen's early years were spent in Lancaster County, where she attended a one-room schoolhouse in Willow Street through the eighth grade before continuing her education at Penn Manor School District in Millersville. Her formative years instilled in her a strong sense of determination and resilience that would guide her throughout her life.
Helen had a diverse and industrious career. She retired as the Supervisor of Housekeeping at St. Anne's Nursing Home but also contributed her talents to several other organizations over the years, including J.L. Clark, Hills, Ames, Tyco, CBS Toys, Hubleys, and Hamilton Watch. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in every role she undertook.
A woman of deep Christian faith, Helen found spiritual fulfillment at the Worship Center in New Holland and Grace Brethren Church in Rohrerstown. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life and provided her with strength and guidance.
Helen cherished time spent outdoors and had a passion for gardening each spring. She found joy in tending to her plants and being surrounded by nature. She also delighted in what she called "going on a mission," which often involved thrifting adventures at flea markets and garage sales. Her love for animals was evident in the special bond she shared with her dogs.
Above all else, Helen was devoted to her family. She is survived by her daughter Laurie A. Greer of Ephrata; sons Peter J. Stockbauer of Lancaster and William A. Stockbauer Jr. of SCI Dallas; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Tina Marie Stockbauer Leonard in 1993.
Helen will be remembered for her caring nature, compassion, understanding heart, loving spirit, and unwavering determination. Her memory will live on as a source of comfort and inspiration to those who knew her.
