1960 - 2026

Henry E. Brown was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. He graduated from Fulton High School in June 1978, where he proudly played football. Throughout his life, he remained active and enjoyed playing softball.

Mr. Brown began his career with the Knoxville Community Development Corporation (KCDC), where he dedicated more than 25 years of service before retiring in 2012.

A devoted father with the kindest heart, Mr. Brown was known for his warmth, generosity, and deep love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Brown; his mother, Evangelist Barbara Brown; his daughter, Deonna Brown; and his special cousin, Leroy Stewart.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted son, Jason E. Brown; his daughter-in-law, Sorrentina Awala; his step-daughters, Jazzmine Tate and Arriana (Trent) Granholm; and his beloved granddaughter. He is also survived by his sisters, Inger Green and Marla Higginbotham; the mother of Deonna and Jason, Robbin (Frank) Cinquino; his former wife, Karla Moss-Brown; devoted family members Felicia (George) Samuel, Shericka Wilson, and Jesseca Wilson; lifelong friends Eric (Sheri) Foxx, Terry Gallman, Sr., and Thelma Black; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

The family extends a special thank you to Trinity Medical Associates, DaVita Dialysis Clinic, and Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center for their care and support.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. EST at Rest Haven Baptist Church, 224 E. Watt St., Alcoa, TN 37701.
