Henry Russell Watson, lovingly known as Russ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, feeling only love in his heart. He leaves behind a legacy defined by honesty, kindness, generosity, gentleness, and a wonderful sense of humor. Above all else, Russ was a devoted family man whose greatest joy and proudest accomplishments were found within the circle of those he loved.

Russ met the love of his life, Marka, in 1967 in an English class at the University of Vermont. What began as a college romance blossomed into a remarkable 55-year marriage built on devotion, partnership, and enduring love. Together, they created a beautiful life.

A hardworking and intelligent businessman, Russ provided steadfastly for his family. He and Marka raised two children, Jennifer and Brad, who were the pride of his life. Russ was ever-present in their lives—not only as a father, but as a coach, mentor, guide, and constant source of unconditional love and support. Whether on the sidelines or during life's important milestones, he was always there.

In retirement, Russ embraced his "second life" — being a grandfather. His six grandchildren, Jack, Julian, Isaac, Emma, Noah, and Elijah, brought him immeasurable joy. He adored each of them deeply and delighted in their accomplishments, personalities, and time spent together.

Russ also shared a love of travel with Marka and cherished taking his family on adventurous vacations, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. He was admired and loved by many friends and extended family members, and he loved them deeply in return.

Russ embodied the belief that a life of kindness is a life well lived. His steady presence, warm heart, and generous spirit touched countless lives. He will be greatly missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
