Henry Saenz, 97, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026. Born on November 25, 1928, in Leon, Nicaragua, Henry lived a long and purposeful life filled with devotion, learning and compassion. After becoming a US citizen in 1965, he moved to Texas, where he practiced Internal Medicine and dedicated his career to caring for others with skill and empathy. His deep faith guided every aspect of his life. As a devout Catholic, he took great joy in serving multiple parish communities and volunteering his time in various church activities. Over the years, Henry continued to strengthen both his professional and spiritual roots, living fully in service to God, his family, patients and those around him.
Henry's curiosity and love of discussion enriched every conversation, whether about family, faith, politics or sports. He was known for his sharp mind, gentle heart, and unwavering strength in the face of adversity.
Henry is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Marie Saenz, father Octavio Saenz, mother Felicitas Centeno, brothers Octavio Saenz and Roger Saenz and his sister Olga Estela Saenz. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara (Grady) and grandsons Christopher (Roxanne) and Conner (Jennifer), his sister, Leonor Argentina Saenz de Guevara, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Henry will be deeply missed by his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother & uncle whose wisdom and perseverance inspired all who knew him.
