Henry Ray Sherrill

Mr. Henry Ray Sherrill III passed away on October 10, 2025, in Spokane, Washington, at the age of 74. Born on August 29, 1951, in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, he lived a life marked by dedication, service, and quiet passions.

Henry served his country with honor for 21 years in the United States Air Force. His long military career reflected his steadfast commitment and discipline, values that remained with him throughout his life. After retiring from the Air Force, he continued to serve others as a caregiver—a role that spoke to his compassion and sense of responsibility.

Outside of his professional life, Henry found joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman who appreciated the peace and patience the sport required. He also enjoyed golfing, darts, playing pool and bowling, activities that brought him camaraderie and fun. A lover of stories and strategy, he spent time reading and engaging with computer games, pursuits that kept his mind active and curious.

Henry was preceded in death by his father, Henry R. Sherrill Jr.; his mother, Margaret Mihalko Sherrill; his beloved wife, Geri Sherrill; and his son, Henry Sherrill IV.

He is remembered by those who survive him: Tim Mihalko, Louise and George Phillips, Bill and Linda Sherrill, Francis and Justin Marcum, Debbie Childs, Patty Christiasen, Tammie Strong and family, and Dave Christiasen. He also has 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date in Spokane, Washington.
