Send Flowers

Herbert Rancourt, 72, passed away on December 20, 2025, in Argyle, Texas following a battle with cancer. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Herbert lived a life marked by creativity, dedication, and a deep appreciation for family and culture.

A man of many talents and passions, Herbert was known for his artistic spirit and tireless work ethic. He studied art and expressed his creativity through drawing, painting, and sculpture. His artistic vision extended into everyday life—his recent projects included designing the layout of their yard, its reflection fountain, all the stonework and masonry, and landscape design. He also created exquisite floral designs and designed cabinetry in their Texas residence. These works stand as a testament to his meticulous nature and eye for beauty.

Herbert was also an accomplished chef who approached every meal as an opportunity to create something extraordinary. His dinners were more than just meals—they were experiences. With careful attention to detail, he would describe each dish with enthusiasm; its history, ingredients, and what made it special. Cooking was not only a skill but a form of storytelling for him.

Music played a central role in Herbert's life. He loved attending concerts and found joy in the rhythm and energy of live performances. A lifelong Cleveland Browns fan, he remained loyal to his team through every season.

Travel was another passion that enriched Herbert's life. He journeyed extensively both with his wife and through professional endeavors, exploring cultures around the globe with curiosity and appreciation.

Herbert's generosity and genuine interest in others left lasting impressions on those who knew him. He cherished time spent with family and friends, he took great joy in family events. His warmth and attentiveness made gatherings memorable.

He is survived by his beloved wife Nina; his loyal canine companion Sadie, ten brothers and sisters: Mary, Ray, Dave, Roseanne, Richard, Beth, Paul, Martha, John, and Robert and his in-laws, Kim and Larry. He was preceded in death by his father Herbert Rancourt and mother Betty Rancourt.

A Roman Catholic throughout his life, Herbert's faith provided a foundation for his values of kindness, creativity, and service to others and his love of God.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all who were touched by his generous spirit. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 12:30 PM at Church of the Resurrection 32001 Cannon Road, Solon, Ohio.
