Hugh Garland Wood

Hugh Garland "Popeye" Wood was born on May 21, 1936, in Hollywood, California, spent his childhood and early adulthood in Pueblo, Colorado, moving to Boulder, Colorado to attend the University of Colorado and achieve his PhD. Hugh accepted a professorship at Richland College in Dallas, TX where he taught world history until he retired. Hugh is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margaret "Peggie" Patterson Wood, his children Kathi Wood and Kristi Hooker and son-in-law Keith Hooker, sister Nancy King, grand children Daniel Fernandez, Taylor Hooker and Sam Hooker, great granddaughter Addison Fernandez and countless extended family and friends.
