Ian Matthew Armbruster

It is with heavy hearts, but grateful spirits for a life lived fully, that we share the passing of Ian Matthew Armbruster, age 31 years old. On March 13, 2026, we lost a passionate adventurer, a devoted father, beloved son, cherished brother, and trusted friend.

Though his time with us was too brief, Ian lived with a depth of passion and kindness that touched more lives than he ever realized. His presence brought warmth and light to those around him, and his memory will continue to do so.

Born on September 8, 1994, Ian was a vibrant soul known for his love of the outdoors, unwavering loyalty, and gentle heart. He found immense joy in spending time with his son Kayden - whether hiking, camping, or fishing. Those moments were where Ian felt most alive and at peace.

Ian is survived by his cherished son, Kayden Armbruster; his parents, Pete (Zetta) Armbruster, Cheryl (Daniel Heimann) Armbruster; his siblings, David (Kristen) Cantrell, Cody Cantrell, Lionel (Samantha) Daniel; his grandmother, Candis Metzger-Jakubik; his nephews, Dean Cantrell, Lucas Cantrell, as well as many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins, and a wide circle of friends who will forever cherish the memory of his bright spirit. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert (Audrey) Armbruster, and Robert Metzger.

A celebration of Ian's life will be held at Joy Church, 13430 N Saguaro Blvd., Suite 201, Fountain Hills, Arizona on April 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
