Inez Katherine Farley VanLear

Inez VanLear, 90, of Spring Hill Road, Staunton, died on Monday, April 13th, 2026 at the Stuarts Draft Retirement Community & Christian Homes Assisted Living.
Born May 10th, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Fred and L. Margaret (Knott) Farley.

Inez graduated from Wilson Memorial High School. She was married to Guy B. VanLear for 67 years until his death in 2021. She was a member of Spring Hill E.C.O. Presbyterian Church.
Inez was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Farley, Jr.

Inez is survived by her only child, Tina V. Hendricks and son-in-law, Larry E. Hendricks of Staunton; three grandchildren, Katherine H. Morgan, Ryan C. Hendricks and wife, Deborah, and Tyler L. Hendricks and wife, Jessana; six great-grandchildren, Drew Morgan, Alicyn M. Gentry and husband, Chase, Ava Williams, Amerah Williams, Sam Hendricks, and Will Hendricks; and one great-great-grandchild, Oaklynn Gentry. Inez is also survived by her friends & wonderful caregivers at the Meadows her assisted living home.

Inez will be laid to rest in Pleasant View Lutheran Church Cemetery.
