Iva Draper Brzenk, 1946-2026 of Hurricane, Utah, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on December 6, 1946, Midvale, Utah, to Delbert and Connie Draper.

Iva grew up in Midvale, Utah and graduated from Hillcrest High School. As a young woman, she had a spirited love for adventure. She enjoyed horseback riding, as well as water and snow skiing. In her teenage years, she would occasionally sneak the family car out to go "drag racing" State Street - much to her father's puzzlement over constantly bald tires. He eventually discovered the reason! She loved anything fast and powerful, and that adventurous spark stayed with her throughout her life.

In September 1964, Iva married Doug Jensen and together they welcomed three daughters: Barbara, Kelly, and Karen. Though they later divorced, Iva's devotion to her girls remained a constant and defining part of her life.

In November 1988, she married John Brzenk and gained two stepsons, John Jr., and Bill, and stepdaughter Meredith. Iva and John eventually retired to Hurricane, Utah, where they enjoyed their golden years together, and caring for their many beloved pets.

Later on in life Iva found joy in golfing, bowling, needlepoint, crafting, painting ceramics and crocheting beautiful pieces for family and friends. She took great pride in decorating her home for every holiday, creating warm and festive spaces for those she loved. Above all else, she treasured time spent with her husband, her daughters, her family, and her many friends.

Iva had a vibrant, friendly personality and never met a stranger. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and made friends wherever she went.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, strength, and the love she gave so freely.

Iva is survived by her loving husband, John; her daughters, Barbara Stelling, Kelly (Steve) Whittekiend, and Karen Jensen; her stepchildren, John Jr. (Renee) Brzenk, Bill (Lisa) Brzenk, and Meredith Brzenk; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Delbert (Nancy) Draper; her sister, Cheryl Oliver; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m., graveside to follow, at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah. Interment will follow at 2:45 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
