J. C. "Jay" Shaw, age 93, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, in Ceres, California. Born on May 11, 1932, in Oklahoma, Jay lived a full and meaningful life marked by love, kindness, and generosity.
Jay was a devoted husband to his late wife, Tawana Shaw, and a loving father to his daughter Roni Falls and son Greg Shaw. He cherished his family deeply and took great pride in being a grandfather to Matthew Falls and Tori Falls and a great-grandfather to Garnett and Seeger Falls. Jay also leaves behind his sister Jane Arnold, as well as many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
Throughout his life, Jay found joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid NASCAR enthusiast and a dedicated fan of Giants baseball. One of his favorite pastimes was going out to breakfast, where he enjoyed good food and warm conversations. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Jay found fulfillment in sharing Bible truths with members of the community—a reflection of his deep faith and commitment to helping others.
Jay will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, generosity, and the genuine friendships he cultivated throughout his life. His presence brought comfort and joy to those who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of many.
