J Jewell Mapes

Jewell enjoyed two fulfilling careers during her lifetime. Her greatest joy was her husband, Fred and she held a deep affection for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treasured the time she spent with her family and the lasting memories they created together.
Jewell found happiness in crocheting and crafting thoughtful items for others. She also had a passion for reading and could often be found with a book in hand.
She is survived by her five children: Lanita; Rick; Laina and her husband Daniel: John and his wife Rustie; and Walter. Jewell also leaves behind six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who will carry forward her memory.
May the love and memories shared with Jewell's bring comfort to all who knew her.
Jewell's celebration of life will be held at True Life Church at 4400 S Hoover Saturday April 25th, 2026 from 2:30pm to 5:30pm
