Jacqueline Lee "Jacquie" Gariano, age 85, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, in Roseville, California. Born on March 12, 1940, in Grand Rapids, British Columbia, Canada, Jacquie lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and unwavering support for her family and community.
During her early years, she spent much time dancing. She eventually joined a dance group where she met her first husband and father of her children, Robert Neil Bartlett. She later spent many years with partner, David Lawrence McClellan until he passed in 2001.
Jacquie pursued her calling in healthcare by attending registered nursing school in Reno, Nevada. She went on to earn board certification in three states—Nevada, California, and Washington—demonstrating her commitment to excellence in her profession. Her career as a labor and delivery nurse spanned many years and touched countless lives. In addition to her hospital work, she pioneered birthing classes at the old Roseville hospital, helping to prepare new parents for one of life's most profound experiences.
Family was central to Jacquie's life. She is survived by her four children: Celia Ann Bartlett; Neil Allen Bartlett and his wife Dottie Bartlett; Deborah Lee Bartlett and her husband Cesar Enrique Perez-Pardo.; and Wayne Andrew Bartlett. Her legacy continues through numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Grand-daughter Crystal Ann Bartlett pre-deceased Jacquie.
Through Deborah's marriage with Cesar, Jacquie was also blessed with additional grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Among them are Cesar Enrique Perez-Gonzalez, his wife Laura Perez and their daughter Zoe Maria Perez, Crystal Ann Perez-Gonzalez, Ricardo Javier Perez-Gonzalez and his fiancée Ron Carlos, and Lisa Marie Perez-Gonzalez and her partner Frank Alokoa.
Jacquie was predeceased by her mother Celia Josephine Gariano (Whitney), her adopted father George Allen Gariano, her father James (Horace) Lee Crane, and a beloved granddaughter Crystal Ann Bartlett.
Beyond her professional achievements and devotion to family, Jacquie was deeply involved in organizations that reflected her values. She was an avid supporter of the Daughters of the American Revolution as well as the Daughters of Union Veterans. Her passion extended to supporting the Junior Reserve Officer's Training Corp., active-duty military personnel, Veterans, and First Responders— causes close to her heart.
She found joy in spending time with friends and family, traveling to new places, and wine tasting—activities that brought laughter and connection into her life. Known for being caring and giving, Jacquie left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
In accordance with her wishes, Jacquie chose not to have formal memorial services. Instead, she said farewell personally to those closest to her before passing. A small graveside ceremony will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jacquie's honor to Hospice organizations to continue the legacy of providing comfort during life's final chapter.
May Jacqueline Lee Gariano's memory bring peace and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
