Jada Veronica Martin, 30, of Houston passed away on April 10, 2026 in Austin, TX. She was born May 25, 1995 in Houston, and was the daughter of Trina Moore and Travis Martin. She graduated from Alpha Academy in Magnolia, Texas, and spent her fearless life pursuing her dream of living in interesting places, connected to nature. She worked in Grand Teton NP, Big Bend NP, Key West, and was hoping to move to Colorado next. She was a light of joy, her smile radiated love, her laugh lifted spirits. If you knew her, she was your friend. She relished being outside, soaking up rays of sun, hiking up mountains, dipping her toes in bubbling streams. She was an avid reader and wrote poetry, sang at the top of her lungs, and was always up for new adventures - she was truly a student of life.
Jada is survived by her parents Trina and Travis; step-parents Scott Hensley and Kendra Kasper, sisters Malika Payne, Hailey Frias, Ella Martin; brother Brandon Payne, step-siblings Ivy and Will Hensley, and loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Veronica Ann Payne, and her brother, Zachary Austin Triplett. We know they welcomed her to the other side with open arms.
A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the National Parks Conservation Society, planting a pollination garden, or visiting a national park and calling her name from the mountain tops - you might even hear her laugh in response. If you prefer to send gifts directly to us, we will choose an additional charity in her honor.
