Born on February 7, 1995 to Tyla VanderMaas & Carl Cady, Jalyssa took her life and found peace with God on October 14, 2013 at age 18. She was a Class of 2013 student at Grandville High School. She had a passion for art, music and audio/video. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Tyla and Brian VanderMaas, brother, Blake VanderMaas, father and stepmother, Carl and Tasha Cady, step-siblings, Zach, Ariana and Aiden; as well as many grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation and Memorial Services will be held at Rosewood Reformed Church, 2795 Rosewood Street, Jenison, MI 49428. Visitation for friends and families will be held Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. The Memorial will be held Monday, October 21, 2013 at 1pm. Officiated by Pastor Jim Goldschmeding and Pastor Howard Moths.
