James Richard Bastien of Lake Ann, Michigan passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, in the home he built, loved and lived in for 18 years.
Jimmy was born on September 24, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan, the youngest of four boys. He lived on Chatham until 1986 when he followed his mother to Long Lake in northern Michigan.
Jimmy loved his dogs, Liz and Marie. The girls were his loyal companions. A wonderful couple has opened their loving home to the two girls.
Jimmy is survived by brothers Martin and David (Lori) Bastien, niece Wendy Brazen and great nieces Racquel, Maycie and Jaiden. Jimmy was predeceased by his parents Jack and Betty, brother Gary and niece Dianna. He will be missed by countless friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 28, 2026, in Lake Ann.
