James William Clark Jr., born on October 4, 1953, in Osceola, Arkansas, passed away on January 21, 2026, age 73, in Land O’ Lakes, FL. Known to those that loved him as Jimmy.

Jimmy dedicated much of his life to the healthcare profession, notably for decades as a registered nurse, and later as a hospice nurse, where he provided comfort and care in the final days of countless individuals.

His career in nursing was not just a profession, but a calling. He was a supervisor in his later years as a registered nurse and showed immense dedication and empathy towards his patients.

Jimmy was known for his kind, compassionate, understanding, and giving nature, always devoted to his family and friends. He had a passion for life, literature, and the arts.

As a young man he excelled in the Tampa Ballet Company.
He cherished every summer spent at the beach with his family. He played piano and had a deep appreciation for choral, choir and classically arranged music.

A devout believer, Jimmy was strong in his faith with God, which guided him throughout his life.

He was deeply invested in his family's legacy and genealogy, ensuring that the bonds remained strong across distances and generations.

Jimmy is survived by his brothers, Mark and wife Sandra Clark of Land O’ Lakes, Florida and Bryan Clark of Brandon, Florida, their children, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Iva Nell Thigpen (Cooper), stepfather, Clinton Thigpen, father, James William Clark, and sister, Denise Ann Martin (Clark).

“As long as there is love and memory, there is no true loss.”
