James Fajfar Obituary
1958 - 2025
James Fajfar, 67, passed away on December 1, 2025, at Holy Family Hospice in Parma, Ohio after a two-year battle with cancer. Born on May 20, 1958, in Maple Heights, Ohio, Jim lived a life rooted in hard work, family devotion, and simple joys.
Jim went on to build a long and dedicated career with First Energy. For 42 years, he worked as a Journeyman Electrician, a role that demanded both skill and resilience. He retired in July 2022 after decades of service that reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to his trade.
Jim was a man who found happiness in the everyday pleasures of life. He loved working in his yard and took pride in maintaining it with care. Fishing brought him peace and joy, while tending to his chickens gave him a sense of purpose and routine. Perhaps most symbolic of his character were the quiet moments he spent sitting in his garage, listening to classic rock on the radio—an image that captures both his appreciation for solitude and his enduring love for music.
He is lovingly remembered by his dedicated wife of 43 years, Mary Lou Fajfar (Puma); his children Jacqueline Anderson, Melissa Fajfar, James (Jessica) Fajfar; his Father Ronald Fajfar (deceased), Mother Irene Fajfar (deceased), his siblings Linda Healey (Tim, deceased), Ron (Cheryl), John (Donna), Joe (Patrick), Ricky (deceased) and Tish Link; and his grandchildren Tyler, Hailee, Bella, Michael, and Samantha.
Jim's legacy lives on through those who knew him best and shared in the many moments that made a life well-lived. Jim gave his life to Christ in early 2025 where he now rests peacefully in the presence of his Lord and Savior. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing. A celebration of life is being planned for May 2026 in Trumbull County at the cabin where he loved spending time with his family and friends. Donations in his memory can be made to Holy Family Hospice Parma, OH.
