1973 - 2025

James Peter Goldsmith, 52, passed away on December 11, 2025, in Portland, Oregon. Born on April 12, 1973, in Huntington Beach, California, James lived a life marked by adventure, connection, and a deep appreciation for the people around him.

James built a dedicated career as an airline mechanic with Delta Airlines. His work reflected his meticulous nature and passion for aviation. Over the years, he became a trusted and valued member of his team, contributing to the safety and reliability of countless flights.

Outside of work, James embraced life with enthusiasm and warmth. He had a natural gift for making friends wherever he went. Whether traveling to new places or setting up camp under the stars, James found joy in exploration and shared experiences. He was known for bringing people together—organizing gatherings that were filled with laughter, stories, and camaraderie.

An avid motorcycle enthusiast, James loved the freedom of the open road. He also enjoyed playing pool and spending time outdoors. Above all else, he cherished moments spent with family and friends.

James is lovingly remembered by his girlfriend Madison Plucar; his brothers Paul Goldsmith and wife Kathie, Karl Goldsmith and wife Heather, John Goldsmith, Tim Goldsmith; and his sister Christine Rizzo and husband Mike. He had many nephews and nieces who considered him the "Fun Uncle". He will also be missed by their faithful dog Lucy. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret McClean and father Robert Goldsmith.

A memorial service will be held in Portland to honor James's life and legacy.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire moments of joy and connection. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 17, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Oregon City Christian Church 1179 South End Rd.
