James Patrick "Pat" Graham, age 75, passed away on December 7, 2025, in Grand Prairie, Texas. Born on April 30, 1950, in Pampa, Texas, Pat lived a life marked by deep faith, enduring relationships, and a goofy sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew him.
Pat was raised in Grand Prairie and graduated in the class of 1968 at Grand Prairie High School. In 1971, he married his high school sweetheart, Diane Oates and graduated the next year from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Pat began his professional journey working at a bank, where he spent many years before his faith led him in another direction. In 1992, he earned his Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary—at which time he embraced full-time ministry.
For the majority of his career, Pat served in pastoral roles in Baptist churches across Texas. His ministry was not just a profession but a heartfelt mission. He touched countless lives through his sermons, counsel, and dedication to his congregations. In his later years, Pat remained active in his faith community as a devoted member of Indian Hills Baptist Church in Grand Prairie.
Whether sharing a laugh or offering words of comfort, Pat was known for his boundless warmth and ability to connect with anyone he met. He often joked that he could talk to a wall and those who knew him would agree that even the wall would have enjoyed the conversation.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Diane Graham; children Jennifer Warrington and Susan Graham; son-in-law Ross Warrington; his brothers and sisters-in-law: Diane Graham, Don and Suzette Quate, Mike and Sharon Quate; his nephews and nieces: Matt Graham, Grant Graham, Angela Quate, Brandon Quate; his cousins: Barbara and Gary Pippin. Pat was preceded in death by his parents Jasper and Lucille Graham; his brother Mike Graham; his uncle and aunt: Porter and Marie Graham; his brother-in-law Dave Quate; his cousin Jerry Wayne Graham and his nephew Matt Quate.
