James F. Healy

James F. Healy, of Indian Rocks Beach, FL, and formerly of Glastonbury, CT, entered eternal life of March 9th, 2026 after a courageous battle with bladder cancer. He was the beloved husband of Katharine Marsh Healy.

Jim was born in Holyoke MA on February 15th, 1944 to Colonel Frank C. Healy and Mary Rita Moynihan Healy. Being a military family, they traveled extensively. Jim graduated from Orleans American High School in France, St. Francis College in Loretto, PA and obtained his masters degree from the University of Connecticut. He retired from the Travelers Insurance Company after 25 years of service and then began his own business, PC Solutions. In 2015, he and Kathie retired to Indian Rocks Beach.

In addition to Kathie, his wife of nearly 56 years, Jim is survived by his brother, Kevin Healy and his wife, Cyndy, and his sister, Kathleen McGrath. He also leaves his brother-in-law, Bill Marsh, and his wife, Sandy, and his sister-in-law, Patty, and her late husband, Bruce Marsh. Jim was very proud of his nieces and nephews: Christina, Kaysey, Tim, Jim, Chris, Kevin, Andrew, Michael, Ned, Jason, and a special niece, Kirsten Longley. Jim also leaves 25 great nieces and nephews.

Jim loved college sports, especially the UConn Huskies, and he was a voracious reader.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Largo, Florida on April 9th, 2026 at 11am followed by military honors.

The burial will be private.
