James Edward "Ned" Davis

1941 - 2026

James Edward "Ned" Davis, age 84, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, in Sun City West, Arizona.

Ned was born in New York City and grew up in Morristown, New Jersey. He attended The Gunnery Preparatory School and later Lehigh University, laying the foundation for a life marked by discipline, service, and achievement.

He proudly served as a U.S. Naval aviator and was honorably discharged from the Navy. Following his military service, Ned moved to Denver, Colorado, where he met his beloved wife, Pat, and her daughter, Jacki. Together, they later welcomed their daughter, Tanya.

Ned built a successful career as a stockbroker, known for his integrity, professionalism, and strong work ethic. In the early 1990s, he returned to his lifelong love of flying and traveled the world as a cargo pilot.

In 2016, Ned and Pat retired to Arizona, where he remained active and engaged in his community. He was actively involved in his church and the tennis club, finding joy in fellowship, faith, and staying active. Above all, he cherished time with family and friends.

Ned is survived by his devoted wife, Pat Davis; his daughters, Jacki Dodd (Fred) and Tanya Snape; his granddaughter, Haley Smith (Shae); his cherished great-granddaughters, Amelia and Annalise; his brother, Gary Davis; and his sister, Deedee Garnett.

Ned lived his life guided by faith, and in that spirit we remember the words of Scripture:

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
— 2 Timothy 4:7
