James Joseph O'Loughlin

James Joseph O'Loughlin, 95, passed into the arms of Jesus peacefully in his sleep on January 17, 2026, in Dallas, Georgia at Vitality Senior Living. Born on August 15, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri, James (Jim) lived a long and fulfilling life marked by dedication to his family, faith, and service.

Jim was the eldest of three children born to James P. O'Loughlin and Lola (McDermott) O'Loughlin. He grew up alongside his younger siblings, Daniel Robert (Bob) O'Loughlin and Mary Edna O'Loughlin (nee Kuziel), in a household that valued hard work and strong family bonds. His early years in St. Louis shaped the man he would become—steadfast, compassionate, and deeply committed to those around him.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Jim served his country with honor during his military career. His time in the Air Force instilled in him a sense of discipline and duty that he carried throughout his life.

Faith played a central role in Jim's life. A lifelong Catholic, he was an active member of his church community and served as church usher for many years. His unwavering devotion to his faith was evident in both his actions and the way he treated others.

Jim was blessed with a loving family who brought him immense joy. He is survived by his three daughters, Kathleen (Kevin) Bradford, Patricia (Thomas) Cooper, Teresa (Don) Buckalew; eleven grandchildren, Karla, Kyle, Kody, Daniel, Kimberly, Jennifer, Rebecca, Adam, Aaron, Nick and Kara. His legacy also extends to his seventeen great-grandchildren who will carry forward the values he instilled in their family.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Bob O'Loughlin and Mary Edna Kuziel.
