Mr. James Thomas "Jimmy" Rose, born on March 18, 1961, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. He was just shy of his 65th birthday. Jimmy’s life was a testament to the joy of simple pleasures and the deep connections he shared with family and friends.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, John A. Rose and Faith L. Rose; his brother, John H. Rose, his sister-in-law, Phyllis Rose; and their son, John Rose Jr. Despite these losses, Jimmy remained a kind and gentle soul who cherished the bonds of family and friendship.
He is survived by his three older sisters and their spouses: Faith R. and Raymond C. Hemsher Jr., Charlotte A. Rose, Maryann and Milton E. Koerner. Jimmy also leaves behind a loving extended family that includes his nieces, nephews, and their children: Faith A. Rose-Smith, Misty G. Rose-Morris, Robart L. Yates, Dawn J. Shannon, and April L. Flinchbaugh. Additionally, he is survived by his aunt Charlotte Ellmers.
Jimmy spent over 35 years living in Davenport with his brother John and sister-in-law Phyllis Rose, surrounded by their family. His love for children and animals was evident to all who knew him. He found great joy in the outdoors—whether exploring the woods or gathering around a fire pit with friends—and these moments brought him peace and happiness.
Jimmy’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him as a kind-hearted man who valued family above all else. May his legacy bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.
