James Stevenson

James William Stevenson, 97, of Orange CA, passed away Wednesday January 28, 2026 in recovery. He was born on March 14, 1928 to Frost Stevenson and Gladys Adkinson Stevenson in Riverside CA. Jim, as he was called, graduated from UCLA with a mathematics degree and went to work for Rockwell (Boeing) for most of his career. In his spare time he became a successful investor and was known by family members as "The Oracle of Orange". This success failed to seduce him as he proved to be a prudent fiduciary, minimalist consumer, and generous giver. Everyone who met him would agree that his kindness was legendary.

Survived by son Donald Stevenson, grandsons Chris Glover, James Stevenson, and Tim Stevenson, granddaughter Jennifer Stevenson.

Preceded in death by sons Frank Glover and Robert Stevenson, grandson Zach Glover

A graveside funeral will be held at Olivewood Memorial Park cemetery in Riverside California Wednesday February 18, 2026 at 11:30am. All are welcome to honor Jim's life.
