James Tierney

James Patrick Tierney(Pat) was born in Toppenish, WA October 7, 1938 to James Francis Tierney and Clara Alm Tierney. He grew up in Spokane with his younger brothers Don and Jerry. They spent many joyous years at the cabin they built with their father at Loon Lake. Pat attended Gonzaga Prep participating in football and the high jump. He was an alumni of Gonzaga University with a degree in Civil Engineering.
He met and married Canadian born Claire Shannon in 1964 in Spokane, WA. They had four children Michael, Stephen, James(d.1990), and Meghan. They settled in Bellevue, WA after a few jobs following the Boeing recession of the seventies. He thoroughly enjoyed his job as a loan guarantee officer at the Veterans Affairs Administration in Seattle, closely working with veterans as well as reservations and Native American Tribes.
Pat loved a night on the dance floor with family and friends, poker, bowling, and the stock market. He loved to socialize and would talk to everyone and anyone. We will forever miss our father, husband, brother, and friend..."very good then". A Funeral Service will be held on April 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 01:30 PM at Sunset Hills Memorial Park & Funeral Home 1575 145th Pl SE. Service followed by reception with food provided
