Jan Elizabeth Yaeger

Jan Elizabeth Yaeger was born March 25, 1959 in Lodi, California. She went to be with the Lord Jesus January 26, 2026 in Caldwell, Idaho.
Jan is survived by her husband Mark Yaeger, son Jon Yaeger, sister Kris Thompson (Mark), nephews Casey and Jesse Thompson, nephews Joshua and Caleb Sexton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Elizabeth Sanders.
Jan grew up in Modesto, California went to Beard Elementary School, Roosevelt Junior High School, and Davis High School. She graduated from the Modesto Junior College LVN and RN nursing programs
On January 30, 1982 Jan married Mark Yaeger. In 1985 their son Jon was born. They lived in Modesto, Apple Valley, Visalia, the Bay Area, Oakdale and most recently Caldwell, Idaho.
Jan was active in sharing her Christian faith, having become a believer as a high school student. She was active at First Baptist Church of Modesto participating in Chi Alpha, stage productions, the Way Singers and Living Circle.
Jan was a registered nurse, having worked in various hospitals, in emergency rooms, on cardiac floors, worked in nursing homes, ran a radiation center and worked as a Hospice nurse. She was an active learner, interested in every field of medicine, always improving, always studying.
Jan traveled to Israel, Ireland, Mexico, Canada, and several European countries. Most recently Jan and Mark enjoyed seeing the natural beauty and wild life of Yellowstone, the Teton mountains, and South Dakota.
Jan took every opportunity to be sure those around her heard the Gospel. Her email address included the words "Aslan's Ambassador." She had written James 1:12 on the first page of her Bible: "...he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him."
She has received her crown.

The memorial service for Jan Yaeger is Saturday, April 18 at
1 pm, Christ Community Church 4220 Dale Road, Modesto.
