Janel Nadeau Duplisea of Millinocket, Maine passed away on February 9, 2026 peacefully in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 1,1972 to Ben and Linda Nadeau, she was a woman whose life was defined by the deep, unwavering love she had for her family. For over 30 years, Janel shared a life of profound friendship and devotion with her husband, Scott Duplisea. He was her best friend, her confidant and her steady anchor. Together, they built a home filled with laughter and a partnership that served as a beautiful testament to true love. The two of them enjoyed BBQ's and camping trips with family and friends as well as visits to the Caribbean with their traveling crew where Janel was always the planner.
Her greatest joy, however, was her son, Bradley. He was truly her world. From the moment he was born, Janel dedicated herself to his happiness and growth, finding her purpose in being his mother. Her legacy lives on in the kindness and strength she instilled in him every day.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Scott; her cherished son, Bradley; her parents Benoit and Linda Nadeau; her brother Michael and wife Jessica of Levant; and her nephew Corbin and niece Emily. She also leaves behind a special sister-in-law, Jean Marie Cyr (Duplisea) and her coworkers at the Millinocket Regional Hospital who were at her side through thick and thin and will always hold a special place in her heart.
Janel's infectious laugh and kind heart will be deeply missed by everyone. At the request of Janel, there will be no wake or funeral. Instead, there will be a graveside service in the spring to be followed by a Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made in her name to the Millinocket Regional Hospital Oncology Department.
