At rest March 5, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family. Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She found great joy in life's simple pleasures. A talented baker and gardener, wordsmith, avid reader, and expert crocheter, she spent many hours enjoying her hobbies. Above all, Janet treasured the time she spent talking with and being surrounded by her family, who were the greatest joy of her life.

Janet is survived by her devoted husband, James Carr, children Nicolette Ruiz, Benjamin Ruiz, and Belinda (Stephen) Bair, her grandchildren Kristyn, Elias, Katie , Leo, and Jackson, sister Jean Hinton, and brother Jeff Stephen, nieces Hannah, Ashley and Halley, great-grandchildren Sammie, Nathan, Dallas, Nevaeh, great-great-grandson Jackson, her beloved cousins, and Charlie. Preceded by her parents William and Patricia Stephen, and brother Dave Stephen.

Janet will be cremated in accordance with her wishes, and the family will celebrate her life privately.
