Janet Elaine Frost

Janet Elaine Frost, 71, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, in Haverhill, MA, surrounded in her final hours by the love of close family and friends. She was born on September 19, 1954, in Concord, NH, and lived 40 cherished years in Hampton Falls, NH, in the home she and her husband built.
Janet was a beacon of strength for her family, to whom her devotion was equaled only by her dedication to God. An athlete in her youth, she encouraged teamwork and perseverance in her sons, even volunteering as their youth baseball coach. She believed deeply in responsibility, hard work, and honoring commitments—values she modeled throughout her life. An exceptional cook, Janet took great joy in nourishing those she loved, and she was happiest when hosting family for the holidays.
She attended Epsom Central School, graduated from Pembroke Academy, and pursued higher education at New Hampshire Technical College in Manchester. Janet worked as an administrative assistant at Seabrook Station in her 20s and 30s but returned to school in her 40s to embark on a second career as an in-home Physical Therapist Assistant for York Hospital, where she compassionately served patients of the southern Maine community until her retirement in 2019.
A devoted Catholic, Janet was a regular parishioner of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Hampton, NH. She loved reading, gardening, traveling, and cuddling or playing with her beloved dog. Janet was a regular at the town library and took great pride in her garden, enjoying both cooking and canning her home-grown produce. Her travels, both abroad in her youth and later across the country with her husband and with her sister, were cherished adventures that filled her life with joy and wonderful memories.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert Frost; her sons, Joseph Frost and his wife Jill Tarzia Frost, and Nathan Frost and his wife Dr. Sarah Timm Frost; her grandson, Oliver Frost; her sisters, Susan Trudel and Sandra Brown; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Thomas Allaire and her parents, Emile and Lucille Allaire.
A memorial Mass will be held April 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Hampton, NH, or to the New Hampshire SPCA.
Until we see Janet again, may those who mourn her take solace in knowing their sorrow is shaped by such a life so beautifully lived that its love softened, steadied, and sustained their own.
