It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved Janet Kish passed away on Tuesday February 24, 2026. She was a resident of The Clare Bridge Community of Brookdale Canopy Oaks in Ocala Florida.

Janet was born to John Graham and Georgette MacDonald in Mt. Vernon NY on September 15, 1942. She graduated from Glens Falls High School in 1960.

Life with her husband, Steve Clarke was an adventure around the US while raising 3 boys. Their life began in Santa Monica California and took them to Boston Massachusetts to Ithaca NY to Los Alamos New Mexico to Miami Florida to Buffalo NY. While living in NM, Janet earned her nursing degree from Santa Fe School of nursing, graduating in 1974. She then worked at Baptist Hospital of Miami.

Janet's life took some twists and turns after moving to Buffalo where she expanded her resume by becoming a real estate agent before beginning her career as a gate agent with Continental Airlines (United Air) where she worked for over 19 years before retiring with her husband John Kish in Ocala Florida.

While working for the airlines and continuing after retirement, Janet was able to feed her love of travel. She and John traveled the world and enjoyed going on cruises and exploring new places together. Her other interests included crafts such as painting and quilt making. She was very creative and talented. And she was a great cook as well. She also was known to have a secret "emergency chocolate drawer."

Janet's friends were very important to her. She always looked forward to spending time socializing and traveling with friends as well as their weekly games of Bridge and Mahjong.

Janet loved her family and came up north as often as possible to celebrate birthdays, graduations, weddings and holidays. Those visits will forever hold special memories of fun, great food, crazy stories and some shenanigans, but most of all treasured time together.

Janet leaves behind her loving husband John Kish. Her sons,Stephen Patrick (Elizabeth Biggs), Kevin Graham, (predeceased son Timothy Sean), grandchildren Patrick Stephen (Natalie DeCario), Lindsay Nery, (Cale Mitchell), and Heather Beaulieu (Dennis Beaulieu). Her sister MaryLou Loomis, and her brother John MacDonald (Mary Leonelli). She also leaves behind many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Georgette MacDonald, her sister Charlene Shaw, her nephew Christopher Fitzgerald and son Timothy.

The family will host a Celebration of Life" in Pittsburgh PA
