Janet Leslie Newman (née Borde), of Los Angeles and Chicago, beloved wife of Mark for 59 years; loving mother of Allyson Sachs (Jon Proeh); cherished mother-in-law of Jay Sachs; adored grandmother of Dylan and Skylar Sachs; devoted daughter of the late Seymour and the late Myrtle Borde; dear sister of Mark (Pookie) Borde and the late Ellen Reid; special aunt to Doug Fogelson, Alisha Borde, Marissa Carroll, Noah Glazov and the late Josh Glazov; cherished cousin and dear friend to many.
Janet will be remembered for her exquisite style and beauty—both inside and out. She was a Hollywood starlet whose light never dimmed. She was well known in both Chicago and Los Angeles for the fresh flower she wore in her hair each and every day, always placed with care. That flower reflected her passion for life and symbolized the beautiful person she was to everyone who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed.
Celebration of Life details will be shared with family and friends in the coming months.
